I’ve been using the Caraway nonstick fry pan for a few days now, and overall, it has impressed me in both form and function. Here’s my breakdown: Pros: • Beautiful Design: First off, it looks stunning. Sleek, modern, and available in a variety of colors that actually make you want to leave it out on the stovetop. • Truly Nonstick: Out of the box, food slides right off with minimal oil. Eggs, pancakes, and stir-fries all cook evenly and clean up effortlessly. • Healthier Choice: The ceramic coating is free of PTFE, PFOA, and other toxic chemicals found in traditional nonstick coatings, which gives me peace of mind. • Solid Construction: The pan has a nice weight to it and feels very sturdy. It heats quickly and distributes heat well, with no cold spots. Cons: • Careful Maintenance Required: You can’t use metal utensils, and high heat is discouraged. If you’re not careful, you can scratch or damage the coating. • Not Dishwasher Safe: While cleanup is easy, hand-washing is a must to preserve the nonstick surface. • Pricey: It’s more expensive than many other nonstick pans, though the quality helps justify the cost. Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a stylish, eco-conscious, and high-performing nonstick pan—and you’re willing to treat it with care—the Caraway pan is an excellent choice. How safe is your non-stick coating?

Our ceramic non-stick is made from inorganic natural ingredients which are all 100% safe to use in contact with all foods (and FDA approved). Plus, the absence of potentially dangerous chemicals like PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, Lead, and Cadmium means that there is no chance of harmful materials leaching into your food, even if you accidentally scratch or overheat your pan.

Do I need butter, oil, or cooking spray to cook with Caraway cookware?

Ceramic is naturally a non-stick cooking surface, so a very little amount of oil or butter will go a long way. We suggest coating the entire interior with a light dab using a paper towel or cloth to keep things silky smooth when cooking.

Is Caraway’s ceramic cookware induction compatible?

Yes, our cookware is induction compatible. The bases of our pans' diameters are 5.5" for the Sauce Pan, 6" Fry Pan, 6.5" Dutch Oven, and 8" for the Saute Pan. Although our cookware is compatible with induction stovetops, not all induction stovetops are compatible with us! We suggest reaching out to your manufacturer to confirm.
