Cooking Up Community Change: Caraway x Serving in Heels
Each year, Giving Tuesday invites us to pause, reflect, and ask a simple question: How can we show up for our communities in a meaningful way?
At Caraway, giving back isn’t just a once-a-year effort, it’s a core part of who we are. This season, we’re proud to highlight our partnership with Alix Earle ’s Serving in Heels , a giveback initiative dedicated to prepping, cooking, and packaging warm meals for those in need across the major cities of Miami and Los Angeles. Together, we share a mission to fight food insecurity and build lasting community impact.
Fighting Hunger, One Meal at a Time
Food insecurity remains one of the most urgent challenges people experience across the United States. 1 in 8 Americans lacks access to consistent, nutritious meals. In Los Angeles alone, that number rises to 1 in 4, disproportionately impacting children and families.
As a kitchenware brand, bringing people around the table is the heart of what we do. Food is more than essential; it also creates opportunities for connection and comfort. We’d love to see a world where everyone can experience the joy of sharing meals, and we’re committed to doing our part to make that possible.
That’s why our work with Serving in Heels felt not just meaningful, but necessary. Their mission, powered by the Caesar-Iglesias Family Foundation, Inc. , focuses on preparing and serving meals for those who need it most. Together, we can turn awareness into action.
Serving in Heels x Caraway Event
Last month, we joined Alix Earle and over 30 volunteers for a hands-on meal-prep event dedicated to providing meals to those in need across Los Angeles.
With Caraway products at every station (and custom embroidered aprons and linens to match), everyone came together to prepare 3,000+ warm meals for the local community. Volunteers relied on the same clean, non-stick kitchenware you may have in your own home, from our Roasting Pan to our Utensil Set.
Every dish, every tool, and every pair of helping hands contributed to a meaningful act of care.
Our Giving Tuesday Promise
To keep the momentum going, we’re donating $5 to Serving in Heels (up to $10,000) for every Caraway order placed this Giving Tuesday. Every dollar helps them continue showing up where it’s needed most, going directly towards ingredients, meals, volunteer supplies, and support for feeding families across America.
Giving Back, Year-Round
Our partnership with Serving in Heels is just one piece of our broader commitment to ensuring more people have the clean essentials and opportunities they need to thrive. We feel fortunate to partner with changemakers throughout the year whose dedication makes a real difference in people’s lives.
In 2025, we were grateful for the opportunity to donate over $1.63M worth of product to Habitat for Humanity . These contributions helped build and repair affordable homes for low-income families, each one filled with clean, easy-to-use kitchenware.
Also in the last year, we contributed $40,000 in product to the Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund , supporting apprenticeships that allow young adults to live and work on sustainable farms across the country. These programs empower future food leaders, create community-driven change, and build a more sustainable, equitable food system.
At Caraway, we believe everyone deserves access to nourishing meals, safe homes, and supportive communities—not only during the holidays, but every single day. By supporting programs that provide these essentials, we hope to help create more stability, opportunity, and meaningful moments of connection for families across the country.
